In her 30-year career, Jo has provided exceptional makeup results for TV and film clients, national advertising campaigns, music documentaries, fashion editorials, commercial photo shoots and private clients. She brings a unique combination of warmth, fun and flawless beauty expertise to any professional assignment and loves helping clients all over the UK to look and feel their absolute best – whatever the setting.

Jo offers a truly holistic approach to hair and makeup and believes that the entire experience should be flawless outside and in. “I’m passionate about professional makeup. I’m obsessive about enriching my clients’ outer beauty and for me, that means ensuring they’re happy on the inside too. I’m always mindful that whether I’m working with a musician, actor, celebrity or bride-to-be that I’m often preparing them for something big. I try to create a sense of peacefulness and inner calm as I work with a client - my previous experience as a reiki practitioner and healer definitely helps! Whether they’re in front of the camera or taking centre stage, I want my clients to look amazing and feel their best too.”
I was asked to crew up the Glam department for this years FIFA Best awards at The Eventim Hammersmith Apollo.
I had the best team working with me who executed both Hair and Make Up on an array of players, both male and female, and guest handovers plus the wonderful presenters.
Including the Arsenal Legend that is Thierry Henry.
He was an absolute gentleman whom I took pride in taking care of for the duration of the awards.
BAFTAs 2022
Working on the BAFTAs this year was an amazing opportunity.
Getting the ASL and BSL ladies and gentlemen ready to do sign language for the show.
Prior to the event I was asked 2 days before if I could draw a picture of Daniel Craig‘s face as a tattoo on the host Rebel Wilson‘s leg.
I had never done anything like this in my life, but I couldn’t say no until I tried.
So after the red carpet and before Rebel went on stage, to present the show, I was taken to her dressing room and painted Daniels face on her calf.

The Pink Ladies Day
Jo has been involved with this event from the very beginning, initially becoming involved to support close friend and founder Nicky Murphy, who herself has gone through breast cancer treatment, she’s since been involved every single year.
“I’ve lost close family and friends to cancer, so I know first-hand what a difference a little TLC can make to people affected. It’s amazing how uplifting a nice makeover or relaxing massage can be. If my skills can make even the smallest difference to someone’s life, I couldn’t be happier to give up my time, I love been involved”
"The Pink Ladies Day, now in its 4th year is designed specifically for women who live in Argyll, who have experienced breast cancer first hand. This fabulous day held in Inveraray on the 8th December is all about pampering, beauty treatments, delicious food, lots of fun and friendship, relaxation and meeting like minded (and like-bodied) women. We bring in an army of make-up artists, hairdressers, massage therapists, Reiki, Yoga and beauty consultants and cancer support specialists. It's a positive day full of laughter and just generally getting treated to some serious TLC.
Joanne has been there right from the start - first supporting me as a friend going through breast cancer treatment and then totally embracing the Pink Ladies Day idea and offering her fantastic, highly talented make-up artistry skills for our ladies, all completely free of charge and some 500 miles away from her base in London. Jo has a knack with people - she knows how to put them at ease and help take their confidence from zero to hero.
